Initial Briefing
The initial brief can often change long before production starts. So it’s important to get a good understanding of what your needs are. This can then be refined through the research phase before pre-production begins.
We aim to lock down a brief before we begin scripting and storyboarding to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are not blown.
Research
Research can help make or break a project. We do all we can to ensure we are well equipped to create an educated concept and idea. This stage can often lead to changes to the initial brief. If we believe there is a need for change, we will prepare this and discuss options with you before we progress to the next stage.
Pre-Production
Pre-production is one of the most important parts of any video project. During this stage, the scripts and storyboards are confirmed, talent is booked and the budget is finalised. After we confirm and review the scripts and storyboards with you, we begin the booking and scheduling. During this, we confirm shoot dates and the delivery deadline.
Production
This is where the magic happens! More often than not, this is the shortest stage in the video production process. We work hard to create a great end result. This stage is where our creative team comes into their full strength. All the filming takes place during this stage. Before we begin filming, we ensure all talent, extras and locations have signed release forms.
Post Production
Where all the hard work and pre-production really pays off. During this stage, we allow for two sets of reviews and changes of the edit at no additional cost. One following the first ‘Offline Edit’. The Offline Edit is a basic edit to focus on the content – no colour grading or animation and basic audio mixing. Following this, we move into the ‘Online Edit’ phase, which is where we bring it all together and see what the final output will look like.
Delivery
Following the final review and client sign-off, we confirm delivery date and formats required. We then output all the required formats. If required, we will also submit the outputs for CAB approval. Before we deliver final outputs, our standard process is to have the final invoice fully paid. However, this can be negotiated as needed. Following delivery, we conduct an internal review of the process to ensure we are constantly improving.
